Summary
Beagle Middle School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and promotes a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. This full-time position requires a commitment to student success, collaboration with colleagues, and active participation in the school community.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
* Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, and projects, and provide constructive feedback.
* Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and fosters a love for mathematics.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
* Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and advances in mathematics education.
* Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular activities, including math clubs or competitions.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other pertinent information.
* Uphold school policies and procedures while promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
* Valid teaching certification in Mathematics for middle school education.
* Proven experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and pedagogical strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
* Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance teaching and learning.
* Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs of students.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
