Section Grower

If you would like to turn your passion for growing into a career, we will train you to grow plants as a Section Grower inside our 25+ acre greenhouse complex. Section Growers are the caretakers for our crops, responsible for deciding when, how much, and what to water. They also apply fertilizers and perform other applications. Growing quality crops in time to ship to our nationwide customer base is the ultimate goal.

Responsibilities include correctly performing the cultural requirements needed for each crop, consistently producing quality plants with minimal losses, and maintaining the growing area to meet sanitary and organizational standards.

You will work in a year‑round full‑time setting, Monday through Friday 7:00‑15:30, with occasional overtime. A $2 per hour weekend shift premium, overtime pay at time and a half, and a merit increase after 90 days and annually thereafter. The starting pay is $17.35 per hour, increasing with relevant skills, experience, and education.

Drivers transport horticulture products and other contracted linehaul loads across the U.S., primarily the Midwest, East Coast, Southeast, and Central regions, with annual mileage ranging from 75K to 95K. Drivers are frontline ambassadors, assisting loading and unloading at Proven Winners Carleton and customer sites. Most linehaul loads are no‑touch.

• $0.70 CPM for extended distance loads > 100 miles/day
• $26.00 hourly for Non‑Driving Tasks (Pre & Post trip, Loading/Unloading, Fueling, Less than 100 miles/day)
• Paid Detention at hourly rate
• Potential safety bonus $1,800 paid quarterly over each year
• Initial 90‑day hourly raise opportunity
• Paid Time Off package: 18 days per year accrual plus 6 paid holidays

Home‑time minimums:
Jan–Jun—weekly home minimum 1 night;
Jul–Dec—out 14 days (±2 days) with 1.5 days off for every week out. Primarily no‑touch deliveries.

Equipment includes a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia Sleeper Tractor and Vanguard Trailer, company‑issued smart phone, tablet, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, vision, life, disability, legal shield, and tuition reimbursement. The 401K matches 100% of the first 3% and 50% of the next 2% after one year.

Requirements:
Must meet all DOT requirements as a CDL‑A driver and have 1–2 years of CDL‑A driving experience.
