Direct Hire/Fulltime - MUST BE US CITIZEN or GREEN CARD - Hybrid (More onsite to start then less on time as you get Acclimated) PAY: $140K - $155K (Dependant on Certifications and Experience) NO (Sponsorship, C2C, OPT, F1)
The Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics leads the University’s efforts to deliver trusted, accessible, and actionable data that powers informed decision‑making across the institution.
This role sets the direction for modern analytics and data solutions, advancing a scalable, forward‑looking data architecture that meets the evolving needs of Higher Education. In close partnership with divisional analytics leaders and institutional stakeholders, the Director ensures alignment with data governance practices—building a secure, standardized data environment that reduces silos and strengthens institutional trust.
The Director advances data as a strategic institutional asset, enabling leaders to make faster, clearer, and more confident decisions. Through strong leadership and collaboration, this position builds and develops a high‑performing, multi‑disciplinary team and a modern data ecosystem that brings our vision of Data at your Fingertips to life.

Technologies Today (For next 1-2 years):
Oracle OAS, ODI, MySQL, Banner PL/SQL, SQL
Tomorrow Technologies (Now -> 2yrs completed): SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, Workday, Databases, Cyber Security, Data Governance, Data Warehouse
Responsibilities:- Lead our business intelligence, analytics, and data engineering strategy to deliver trusted, accessible, and actionable information for business decision‑making.
- Establish and advance a modern data architecture, including data warehouse, reporting, dashboarding, and integration capabilities that support current and future business needs.
- Provide leadership for enterprise analytics platforms and data tools, including Oracle analytics solutions, ODI, Banner, Workday, Tableau, and related database technologies.
- Partner with divisional analytics leaders, functional offices, and technical teams to align institutional priorities, data standards, and reporting solutions across the business.
- Develop and maintain data governance, data quality, security, and access practices that reduce silos, improve consistency, and strengthen trust in institutional data.
- Oversee the design, development, testing, and support of enterprise data pipelines, semantic models, dashboards, and self‑service reporting solutions.
- Translate strategic priorities into an analytics roadmap with measurable outcomes, service levels, and implementation plans.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing multidisciplinary team while fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate complex technical and analytical concepts clearly to executive and non‑technical stakeholders, enabling confident and timely decisions.
- Monitor emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in analytics, cybersecurity, governance, and higher education data practices to inform strategy and operations.
- Manage project priorities, resource allocation, vendor relationships, and operational processes to ensure reliable delivery of services and solutions.
- Champion data literacy and a data‑informed culture across the institution through consultation, standards, and adoption of best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field earned by date of hire AND eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in data, analytics, or related disciplines AND direct experience leading direct reports and functional teams AND leading an institution‑level major initiative in analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence.
