Chemical Operator - Night

Job Summary

Responsible for following manufacturing instructions to perform production and shipping related duties to ensure on-time production and shipment of product while adhering to high standards of quality, safety and customer service. 2nd Shift currently M-F 3-11p, with planned transition to 12‑hour night shifts as the plant moves to 24/7 operation.

• Operate production equipment in a manner consistent with training and work instructions to ensure safety and the highest level of product quality.
• Prepare mixing vessels, pumps, and hoses for unloading.
• Inspect all containers prior to filling for cleanliness and integrity.
• Fill containers as prescribed in batch tickets, pick tickets, or export order sheets and prepare containers for shipment, including labeling, palletizing, wrapping, and completing work orders in JDE.
• Maintain neat, thorough, and accurate documentation of batch-related tasks.
• Calculate batch yields and take appropriate corrective action.
• Store and stage inventory in assigned areas for batch preparation, further processing, and/or shipping.
• Assist in tracking material inventory, performing inventory counts, and making inventory transfers in JDE.
• Load and unload box trucks, flatbeds, tanker trucks, and rail cars, either manually or using proper material‑handling equipment.
• Load containerized and bulk raw materials into production vessels.
• Manage shipping responsibilities: receive POs in JDE, ship items in JDE, communicate late shipments to the OTC group, prepare UPS and Fed Ex shipments, and call trucks for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and strictly adhere to all plant safety policies.
• Provide immediate containment, reporting, and clean‑up/recovery of spilled material or leaks.
• Operate all types of forklifts and other related motorized vehicles safely and proficiently.
• Hold team members accountable for safety and quality procedures. Participate routinely in the site safety committee.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of customer complaints.
• Apply and comply with safety regulations and instructions; segregate waste according to established procedures.
• Relate potential health and safety or accident issues to the Production Supervisor or Manager promptly.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with production and shipping responsibilities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as JDE.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other motorized material handling equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Good communication skills and teamwork orientation.
