Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant: Trauma​/General Surgery in Midland, MI

Summary

My Michigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the established Trauma and General Surgery Team in Midland, Michigan!

• Full time, day shift
• Rotating 12-hour shifts
• 7 days a week coverage, distributed amongst APPs within the group
• 100% inpatient (no clinic responsibilities)

• Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding
• First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions
• Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair
• Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients

• AHA approved BLS Certification
• AHA approved ACLS Certification
• ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation

• Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered

• Employment is contingent on successful completion of My Michigan Health’s credentialing process
• Robust onboarding and training program
