PositionAudit Supervisor to join the Energy team. An Audit Supervisor leads key aspects of larger, more complex engagements and serves as the in-charge professional. The role requires a strong command of technical accounting guidance under GAAP and SEC frameworks, a solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS, and the use of advanced audit procedures and techniques for complex financial statement areas. The Audit Supervisor develops and enhances client relationships through clear communication and project management and executes engagement planning, including information gathering for time budgets, coordinating planning activities with supervision, and designing a risk-based audit approach.
Responsibilities- Lead key aspects of larger, more complex engagements as the in-charge professional.
- Apply technical accounting guidance under GAAP and SEC frameworks and use advanced audit procedures and techniques for complex areas.
- Develop and enhance client relationships through strong communication and project management.
- Execute engagement planning, gather information for time budgets, and coordinate planning activities with supervision.
- Design a risk-based audit approach.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and GAAS
- Strong project management, team orientation and interpersonal skills
- CPA candidate
- 4-5+ years of public accounting experience, industry, or a combination of both
- Energy and/or renewable energy industry experience
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA license
At Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people. We provide a competitive compensation range and benefits package. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 in the Denver Metropolitan Area. Actual compensation is based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
