Labor and Delivery RN – Travel Nurse

Midlothian, Virginia

Travel assignment: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts. Travel RN position.

• Provide comprehensive care for women throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Assist physicians with epidural administration, pain management, and obstetric procedures such as episiotomies and cesarean deliveries.
• Monitor patient status, including monitoring contractions and assisting with breathing techniques.
• Conduct cervical assessments to track labor progression.
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment; manage bodily fluids and maintain patient safety.
• Aid physicians with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments, and other necessary equipment.
• Provide immediate neonatal care following birth.

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in labor and delivery.
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM. Additional certifications may be required.

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires steady performance in a fast‑paced environment.
