Thriveworks is currently seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Midlothian, VA.

Clinicians must be licensed and residing in the state where they will practice.

Compensation: Fee for Service (W2) position. Salary range $65,000-$94,000 per year based on 15-20 clinical hours per week.

Thriveworks prioritizes safety and best practices in telemedicine, offering stimulant medications as an optional treatment based on client symptoms and diagnosis. Clinicians prescribe stance use disorders are not treated; referrals are made to in‑person providers for severe symptoms.

Clinicians provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more. Work spans adults and adolescents, with a future focus on expanding across the lifespan.

Qualifications
  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner – Board certification required.
  • Master’s in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in the state.
  • Understanding of Advanced

    MD EMR is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of psychiatry practice experience; 3 years is preferred.
  • All clinicians complete in‑house training on ADHD treatment standards and pass a certification exam.

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations both in person and via telemedicine.
  • Willingness to treat clients aged 14 and older.
  • Prescribe medication to reduce symptoms as needed.
  • Create and collaborate on care plans with clients.
  • Complete required paperwork and assessment tools.
  • Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines.
  • Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services.
