San Mateo County Libraries is a Joint Powers Authority that comprises the cities of Atherton, Belmont, Brisbane, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Half Moon Bay, Millbrae, North Fair Oaks, Pacifica, Portola Valley, San Carlos, Woodside, and the unincorporated areas of San Mateo County. Be part of changing an adult learner’s life! Volunteer to help an adult improve their reading and writing. No previous teaching experience or educational background is required. We provide all training and materials necessary to become a successful, high-impact volunteer. This opportunity is for local volunteers in San Mateo County.

Commitment is for 2 hours per week for at least 6 months. Tutors meet with learners in a safe and caring learning environment either at the Millbrae library or online. Familiarity with Zoom is recommended for online learning.
