POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of the senior executive team, reporting to the President & CEO, you play a key role in developing & executing on Milton Hydro’s progressive and forward-looking Strategy. Your duties & responsibilities extend to all subsidiaries including Milton Hydro Holdings Inc. (Holding Company), Milton Hydro Distribution Inc. (Electrical Utility), and two non-regulated business entities:
Milton Hydro Energy & Generation Solutions (MEGS) and ENDVR Energy Inc.
As the CFO of a fast-paced and dynamic company, you are accountable for strategic & financial leadership in all aspects of corporate finance, treasury, taxation, investor relations, and financial reporting & controls. Your portfolio includes Customer Billing, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Regulatory Affairs.
You are a strategic business partner that collaborates with leadership across the Company to develop innovative approaches in structuring & financing the business and
KEY DUTIES
- Identify, implement, and report key metrics that drive performance and decision making, and use those metrics and data analytics to provide strategic insights and decision support to the organization by identifying opportunities for improved financial and business performance
- Oversee development of accounting policies and procedures relevant to accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and project tracking
- Evaluate and oversee capital structure planning, investment strategies and funding of infrastructure projects across all affiliates within the Milton Hydro group of companies
- Ensure sufficient capital is available to meet the financial and investment requirements to meet the demands presented by servicing one of the fastest growing communities in Canada
- Facilitate and oversee any auditing conducted by third parties to ensure effective resolution and swift closure of auditing activities
- Govern tax compliance, audit, and financial risk management activities
- Develop and lead Cost of Service strategy and deliver successful rate filings including exhibit preparation, financial modeling and testimony preparation for rate filings and regulatory proceedings
- Leadership oversight of SCM and build the Company’s value chain by planning, organizing and evaluating supply chain activities including the identification of opportunities for operational improvement, compliance and reporting
- Leadership oversight of Billing operations to ensure billing quality & timeliness standards, compliance, testing of new rates and alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
