Location & Work Arrangement
  • Base in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, or St. Louis.
  • Must be within 50 miles of a client office in one of the above locations.
  • Role is currently remote but will transition to a hybrid model; candidates must be open to working from an office in the future.
  • Required to be onsite at a client office on the first day.
  • Open to working specific days at an office as needed.
  • 10‑15% of the role will be spent traveling for events.
  • A background check must be completed and cleared prior to starting.
Creative Director for Experiential Events

Aquent is partnering with a leading global professional services organization to design and execute experiential marketing initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. The successful candidate will lead the creative strategy, vision, and execution for large signature events, brand activations, and custom campaigns, pitching innovative concepts to senior client stakeholders and inspiring a high‑performing creative team.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop groundbreaking creative ideas for experiential events, branded activations, and sponsor ships.
  • Set and implement the creative strategy, direction, and vision for high‑level projects and events, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Run strategic creative sessions to craft compelling stories and concepts aligned with client business objectives.
  • Translate client objectives into clear strategies by crafting powerful messages and concepts for each event.
  • Proactively pitch innovative work, supported by research and visual storytelling.
  • Guide the team in creating forward‑thinking strategies, briefs, and storyboards that reflect current event trends.
  • Facilitate dynamic creative brainstorming to elevate brand and event experiences.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering their creative development and growth.
  • Collaborate with management to identify, develop, and promote team skills and services.
  • Drive creative quality and consistency across all experiential event support.
  • Continuously seek new opportunities to innovate and introduce fresh perspectives.
Must‑Have Qualifications
  • Strong creative, digital, and event portfolio demonstrating strategic ideas and visual storytelling across experiential touchpoints in a B2B environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital design, or related creative discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Eight years of event experience as a Creative Director or in a comparable role at a full‑service event agency.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of event and creative industry practices, digital trends, innovation, and technology.
  • Advanced conceptual design skills and the ability to critically evaluate colleagues’ concepts.
  • Proven ability to concept and develop outstanding creative with teams and to effectively pitch ideas to clients.
  • Strong experience pitching concepts with clear strategic intent, simplifying business complexities for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent influencer, collaborator, and consensus builder with strong client relationship and teaming skills.
  • Experience mentoring and developing designers in a virtual environment, providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong leadership ability to motivate, inspire, delegate, and foster teamwork.
  • Passion for continuous learning, staying current with design trends, and sharing knowledge.
  • Superb communication, presentation, active listening, and diplomacy skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while delivering quality work under pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, working on both PC and Mac.
  • Availability to travel onsite for events.
