Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support final product testing, inspection, and calibration management. This role is responsible for ensuring finished products meet established quality and performance standards prior to release, as well as evaluating incoming products to ensure requirements meet specification. This role will also coordinate calibration schedules with outside services and manage status of tools requiring calibration.

The ideal candidate will have strong testing, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across production, engineering, and customer support teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform final inspection and testing of finished products prior to shipment or release
  • Conduct visual, functional, mechanical, and electrical testing in accordance with established procedures
  • Verify products meet quality standards, specifications, and acceptance criteria
  • Receive, inspect, log, and evaluate incoming products and components
  • Diagnose failures, identify nonconformances, and document findings accurately
  • Determine appropriate disposition of materials, including pass, fail, rework, repair, or scrap
  • Support Engineering in root cause investigations related to product failures, customer complaints, and returns
  • Maintain accurate quality records, test reports, and system transactions
  • Confirm repaired or reworked items meet quality requirements before release
  • Maintain test equipment, measuring devices, and fixtures in safe and proper working condition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve product and process quality issues
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and return rates
  • Comply with all company safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing testing, and final inspection
  • Experience performing product testing and inspection in a manufacturing or technical environment
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, technical documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Familiarity with measuring tools, inspection devices, and basic test equipment
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and data entry systems
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience with end-of-line or final product testing
  • Knowledge of nonconformance reporting, CAPA, and root cause analysis methods
  • Familiarity with ISO-based quality systems (ISO
    13485)
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical products
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift during the workday
  • Ability to lift and move products/materials up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate tools, instruments, and test equipment
  • Visual ability to inspect parts, read labels, and review documentation
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing and warehouse
  • Will require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed
  • Exposure to production equipment, test stations, and returned materials
The estimated pay range for this position is $24/hr. to $28/hr.. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
