Executive Household Manager - 1099 Contractor Position, Minnetonka, MN
We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Executive Household Manager to support our President by handling the day‑to‑day operation, organization, care, and presentation of a private residence in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This is a hands‑on interior household management role focused on ensuring the home runs smoothly and to a high standard through direct household support: maintaining cleanliness and order, replenishing supplies, organizing interior spaces, assisting with laundry and household resets, supporting guest readiness, and arranging outside service providers as needed.
The ideal candidate is comfortable completing household duties personally, while using sound judgment, discretion, and proactive communication to anticipate needs and address issues efficiently.
- Personally handle the day‑to‑day interior operation and presentation of the residence, ensuring living spaces are consistently clean, organized, stocked, polished, and guest‑ready.
- Perform routine household cleaning, tidying, and resetting tasks as needed to maintain a high standard of order, cleanliness, and presentation between deeper cleaning or housekeeping services.
- Organize and maintain interior household spaces, including closets, storage areas, kitchens, pantries, bathrooms, and household systems, to ensure the home remains functional, orderly, and well cared for.
- Handle household inventory and supplies, including kitchen, pantry, bathroom, linen, and cleaning items; monitor needs and replenish as needed or directed.
- Perform household laundry support, linen rotation, and related household organization tasks directly and arrange outside support only as needed based on household preferences.
- Assist with household errands, deliveries, and scheduling household appointments as needed to support the smooth operation of the residence.
- Keep household appointments, routine services, deliveries, and seasonal interior tasks organized and on schedule.
- Arrange outside household services, such as housekeeping, organizing, appliance service, and other in‑home support, when additional assistance is needed.
- Keep household information and service records, including vendor contacts, appliance information, warranties, manuals, invoices, and receipts, well organized and up to date.
- Work directly with the President and any household stakeholders on priorities, schedules, special requests, and upcoming needs; provide clear updates and practical recommendations as needed.
- Prepare the home for guests, family visits, and special occasions, including ensuring spaces are ready, organized, stocked, and any needed services are scheduled in advance.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion while working in and around a private residence.
- Perform other related duties as needed to support the ongoing interior operation, organization, care, and presentation of the home.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience in high‑end private service, household management, luxury hospitality, or a related hands‑on role in a private residence or similarly high‑standard environment.
- Strong understanding of the service, presentation, discretion, and detail orientation expected in a private home supporting an executive or principal.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to personally perform day‑to‑day household duties, including cleaning, tidying, organizing, stocking, laundry support, and household resets, while maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to keep the home, household supplies, and daily needs running smoothly and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, order, and visual presentation throughout a residence, including noticing and addressing details proactively.
- Comfort with hands‑on household work as well as arranging outside support, including housekeeping, laundry, organizing, deliveries, and in‑home service appointments, as needed.
