Long Term Sub Spanish Teacher

Overview

Aitkin School District #0001 is looking for a Long Term Sub for our Spanish Teacher. This person will work with students learning Spanish for the  School Year from November to February. Candidates must be able to work with many different levels of students and collaborate with team members. Candidates must be able to develop lessons and experiences for students at all levels and support each student's education in developing Spanish language skills.

• Teach Spanish courses at the high school level, following Minnesota state standards.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that promote language acquisition, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
• Incorporate technology and real-world applications to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Participate in professional development and school activities as required.
• Establish and maintain high standards for the educational experience of students.

• Current MN K-12 Spanish Licensure. (all language teachers are welcome to apply and variances are a possibility.)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Able to work cooperatively with staff
• Experience in working with students in grades 7-12
