POSITION SUMMARY

Serves as the first point of contact for technical support escalation for operations. Responsible for working alongside Manufacturing/Design Engineers supporting technical operations.

Hours:

M-F, 5:00 A.M.

- 1:30 P.M.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide technical support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety) for assigned area

* Identify and troubleshoot processes, material or equipment problems to minimize production down time and quality issues

* Aid and monitor the containment of quality issues

* Provide tooling validation; modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures

* Design and create templates

* Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product; submit red line drawings

* Work with vendors/suppliers to procure tools and/or supplies as needed

* Lead/assist in Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones

* Lead/facilitate level 4 as-build structures throughout entire custom process

* Main welder technique and process training resource

* Participate and provide fab/weld feedback during design reviews

* Provide real time design issue feedback on large structures, provide post-build review notes to designers

* Occasional off-site quality issue evaluation/repair

* Work with internal/external suppliers/customers to improve material quality and delivery

* Train and provide technical support and/or direction as needed

* Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

* 3+ years' experience working in production required

* Welding background required, along with fabrication background preferred.

* AA Degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience in related discipline strongly preferred

* Extensive experience in performing quality control procedures and meeting production standards

* Working knowledge of computers and office software

* Strong technical and mechanical aptitude

* Excellent organizational and time management abilities

* Great communication and collaboration skills

* Keen attention to detail and problem-solving techniques

The target hourly range is $26.00 - $36.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.

In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
