The Sourcing Specialist – Food & Beverage supports the procurement and supplier management of food, beverage, packaging, and related materials. This role partners closely with Food Operations, Warehousing, Distribution, Finance, and external suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply, cost control, and adherence to company sourcing standards.
The Sourcing Specialist plays a critical role in day-to-day operational support, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of the Food & Beverage supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day sourcing activities for assigned categories, ensuring product availability and continuity of supply.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, shortages, quality issues, and backorders.
- Coordinate emergency recovery orders and alternate sourcing solutions when supply disruptions occur.
- Support contract compliance and approved-spec sourcing in alignment with company sourcing policies.
- Create, track, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, expired product issues, short shipments, and damaged goods in partnership with Warehousing and Food Operations.
- Monitor inventory risk items (e.g., expiring products, at-risk SKUs) and proactively communicate potential financial or operational impacts.
- Support special event sourcing needs (e.g., seasonal events, promotions) by coordinating product readiness and timelines.
- Partner with Food Operations, Warehouse & Distribution, and Shared Services to align on volume needs, delivery schedules, and operational priorities.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with venue leaders and stakeholders regarding order status, shortages, and resolutions.
- Participate in regular cross-functional meetings related to sourcing, inventory, and operational planning.
- Assist with tracking spend, sourcing activity, open issues, and inventory risk reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to suppliers, specifications, and sourcing decisions.
- Support sourcing leadership with ad hoc analysis, data gathering, and reporting as needed.
- 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or Food & Beverage operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working with both internal partners and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with ERP/P2P systems preferred.
- Experience supporting Food & Beverage operations in hospitality, theme parks, entertainment, or high-volume environments.
- Familiarity with inventory management, expiration tracking, and cost impact awareness.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate hands-on with operational teams.
