R&D Engineer III – Mechanical (Bridgeton, MO)

As an R&D Engineer III – Mechanical, you will be responsible for taking machine design projects from conception through production release.

• Develop mechanical components and subsystems through investigation, specification development, design, analysis, and testing.
• Achieve reliable function at low cost through selection of part configurations, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Conceptualize and design innovative solutions to problems in the auto service industry.
• Ensure integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Analyze solutions and designs to ensure requirements are met.
• Document technical calculations and testing for agency approval.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Professional Engineer license is a plus.
• Must be a proactive, creative self-starter, proficient with CAD (Creo preferred), and have experience with mechanism design, analysis, machined metal parts, material and heat treat.
• General knowledge of automobiles and their suspension systems is helpful.
