Assemble subassemblies, follow schematics, drawings, and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties:

- Read and follow blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units per company procedures.
- Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools and electronic tooling.
- Assemble parts or units; position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or chassis, using hand tools or electronic tools.
- Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
- Install moving parts, such as shafts or bearings, and test for free movement.
- Surface mount and through-hole soldering and under-microscope soldering.
- Knowledge of wire color code and the gauges of wires.
- Be familiar with circular, D-sub, and other connectors.
- Cable and harnessing, to include routing, solder sleeves, splicing, and wax string lacing.
- Insert color-coded wires in designated locations on connectors and clinch wire ends.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.

- Follow assembly procedures per Company procedures.
- Build and assemble wire harnesses (handling small, intricate, and delicate mechanical parts).
- Experience with surface mount and under-microscope soldering.
- Experience with wire color code and the gauges of wires.
- Experience with circular, D-sub, other connectors, wires, and pins.
- Experience with torque drivers and wrenches.
- Use of small hand tools (crimpers, strippers, and pliers).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two years of related experience
Professional certificationsIPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 is a plus.
Other qualificationsMust be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder for authorized access to controlled technology/data as subject to ITAR.
Ability to read and comprehend technical terms related to components and assembly procedures, short correspondence, and memos;
Ability to write simple correspondence;
Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one or multiple employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide;
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Basic computer skills required.
