Location: California
Job Summary
Materials & Stores Supervisor II (Correctional Facility) with a 12‑month limited term in Kern County. Salary $4,757.00‑$6,239.00 per month.
Responsibilities- Supervise receipt, storage, issuance, and shipping of varied supplies in a large redistribution or point‑of‑use warehouse.
- Manage a team of assistants, ensuring accurate performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain inventory control records and oversee the movement of equipment, stores, and supplies.
- Assist higher‑grade warehousing supervisors as needed.
- One year of experience performing duties of a Materials and Stores Supervisor I (Correctional Facility) or equivalent in California state service.
- Or three years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse involving receipt and issuance of large volumes of commodities.
- Experience in California state service counts toward the above requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to an equitable and inclusive workplace.
- Knowledge of modern warehousing methods, freight procedures, procurement specifications, and affirmative action objectives.
- Ability to read/write English, perform heavy physical labor, estimate future supply needs, direct work of others, maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and operate forklifts and other motorized equipment.
- Education equivalent to completion of twelfth grade; college‑level coursework in accounting and/or business administration preferred.
Persons must possess sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform tasks in stressful situations without compromising their own or others’ health and well‑being.
