Job Description:

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports

Must be able to oversee accounting staff as needed

Maintain and enhance financial information systems

Review journal entries and financial data for accuracy and compliance

Manage budget tracking, cost allocation, and performance reporting

Oversee debt service records and bond registers

Assist with cash management and investment tracking

Support and guide accounting staff as assigned

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audits, and internal controls

Position Requirements:

Experience in municipal or governmental accounting preferred

Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

What We’re Looking For:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, and auditing practices

Experience with automated accounting systems and financial software

Ability to analyze complex financial data and present clear insights

Knowledge of budget forecasting and government accounting (preferred)

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Excellent communication and reporting abilities

Understanding of confidentiality, compliance, and HIPAA standards
