Job Summary
Diagnose, repair and maintain both company-owned and customer-owned durable medical equipment.
Job Responsibilities- Reviews work orders and daily schedule to determine repair needs.
- Diagnoses equipment problems, repairs, and maintains durable medical equipment.
- Tests equipment to ensure proper operation upon completion of repairs.
- Conducts in-home service calls to customers on an as-needed basis, contacts customers to schedule appointments, resolves equipment problems or arranges for equipment pick‑up.
- Assembles new durable medical equipment per manufacturer’s instructions and responds to equipment recalls.
- Monitors parts inventory and orders parts as necessary.
- Ensures accurate documentation and record keeping of repairs.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
- Two years’ experience.
- Strong foundation in mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset.
- Automotive or similar technical experience is a plus.
- Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
- Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/moving patients.
- Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
- Occasional driving.
- Driving Record – Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Driver’s License from State of Issuance.
- Day Shift (United States of America).
- 40 hours per week.
- Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin.
