The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational and dynamic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our successful Area of Learning and Experience. We are looking for an excellent teacher with a commitment to delivering the highest quality learning experiences and pastoral support to the pupils in their care. The successful candidate must be able to teach French or Spanish to GCSE level and, ideally, will have experience of delivering both languages.
However, the selection process will focus on candidates’ enthusiasm and ability to deliver excellent teaching and learning rather than their specialist language. Experience of or ability to teach additional subjects at key stage 3 would also be an advantage.
West Monmouth is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school serving Pontypool and the surrounding area. The school has expanded very rapidly in recent years and currently has approximately 1150 pupils on roll. West Monmouth has an excellent reputation within its community for both academic results and pastoral care and many pupils from outside our traditional catchment area choose to join us each year.
