Overview
Project Supervisor – Construction (Monroe, CT)
TEKsystems is partnering with a well-established construction company in the Monroe area to hire a Project Supervisor. This position is ideal for someone with early construction experience or relevant education who is looking to build a long-term career in construction supervision or project management, specifically supporting commercial construction projects. This is a field-based oversight role focused on coordination, safety, quality control, and keeping projects on track.
This is not a tools-on position.
- Support and oversee daily field activities across commercial job sites
- Monitor jobsite safety and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Review work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to project specifications
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and day-to-day task coordination
- Identify issues or delays and escalate to project leadership as needed
- Complete site documentation including daily reports and progress updates
- Help maintain an organized, productive, and safe jobsite environment
- Prior construction experience or construction-related education (trade school, technical program, engineering tech coursework, etc.)
- Strong interest in moving into construction supervision or project management
- Ability to communicate clearly with field teams and leadership
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality
- Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced field environment
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally in the Monroe area
- Experience supporting commercial construction projects
- Experience assisting supervisors, foremen, or field leadership
- Exposure to electrical construction or electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or construction documents
