Baker’s American Bar and Grille, located in Monroe, NJ, is looking for a Cook willing to work variable shifts, including weekends. The ideal candidate is a team player who can prepare customer orders according to company procedures in a satisfactory and timely fashion.
· Properly identifies all food items on menu.
· Responsible for cooking portions, recipes, and following cooking procedures for specified menu selections in a timely manner.
· Follows instructions of Coordinator for cooking directions.
· Stocks and prepares cooking area at start of shift and cleans cooking area at end of shift.
· Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment.
· Tags food based upon delivery dates and then rotates food items according to established color codes.
· Assists other cooks on line and other kitchen personnel throughout the shift, including end of shift tasks.
· Good listening skills and ability to understand verbal and written directions.
· Attention to detail.
· Handle multiple work duties simultaneously.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Ability to differentiate colors.
