Overview
Position Summary... What you ll do... Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training and actively listening to associates, touring stores and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, business initiatives, merchandising and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.
Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the OBW (One Best Way) service model and managing customer service initiatives and programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high quality customer experience.
Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing PL (Profit & Loss) statements, budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses in the designated area; ensures alignment with sales, merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operational processes; develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations and promoting a sense of belonging in the workplace; recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and growth potential.
Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying goals and objectives and measuring progress toward results; demonstrates adaptability and promotes continuous learning.
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company mission, values and ethics by applying related action plans and the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices.
