Mechanical Design Engineer
Under the supervision of a Project Manager, the Mechanical Design Engineer will assist in performing energy‑efficient mechanical design for commercial and non-residential buildings, including selection and specification of HVAC systems and equipment.
- conduct cooling and heating load calculations
- perform compliance analyses using engineering software packages
- assist in preparing technical reports to document engineering analyses
- support field surveys to document existing conditions and recommend design solutions
- produce efficient and optimized Revit/CAD drawings, applying established quality standards and design criteria
- support coordination with cross-functional teams, including architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure HVAC designs meet project specifications and applicable codes
- provide technical input on energy performance, including Mechanical/Envelope Title‑24 and Com Check requirements, and prepare compliance documentation
- provide technical support and recommendations for energy system solutions
- use LEED certification and knowledge of data center load calculation
- conduct safety analysis (quality assurance)
Telecommuting permitted on a limited basis.
Salary: $98,987 per year.
