JSG is hiring in Monrovia, CA. Pay rate: $25-$28 DOE.

• Configure, calibrate, and evaluate Lasers, assemble Focusing Heads and check working distance.
• Build a varied range of precision electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Build, wire‑up and test semi‑automated, single‑operator materials processing workstations.
• Able to train and mentor new employees and work with customers and service engineers.
• Read schematic and wiring diagrams.
• Professional soldering and wiring.
• Design and build wire harnesses.
• Must know electronic hardware such as terminal blocks, connectors, panel components, switches, controls, indicators, and panel meters found on industrial equipment.
• Light machining, e.g., drilling holes in sheet metal to mount components.
• PC computer software and hardware troubleshooting.
• 2‑year electronics technical degree or equivalent trade school certificate and experience.
• 2–5 years’ experience in building and testing one‑of‑a‑kind custom equipment.
• Worked with wiring diagrams.
• Worked out minor implementation changes on the fly to expedite, build and evaluate.
• Specified electronic control items such as switches, indicators, terminal blocks from standard supply houses like Graingers, McMaster‑Carr, Newark, etc.
