Registered Nurse - Endoscopy Service; Per Diem

Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the hospital and department. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and broad nursing knowledge.

The Registered Nurse is an experienced nurse who shall orient new staff, precept students, and assume relief charge nurse duties as oriented and assigned.

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering direct nursing care to all patient populations during hours on duty.
• The Endoscopy Registered Nurse possesses the skills and knowledge to competently provide appropriate nursing care within the Surgical Services areas and Endoscopy Services.
• Duties include preparing patients for procedures, assisting in endoscopy procedures, circulating in endoscopy procedures, reprocessing GI scopes, and recovering post-procedure patients.
• Must be able to take call and report to the hospital within 45 minutes.

At least three years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty outpatient surgery center. Experience in endoscopy preferred. Experience in telemetry preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

State of California RN license required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained prior to completion of orientation and independent assignment. Specialty certification required within two years of start date.

Per Diem. Scheduled weekdays, Monday‑Friday, varied 10‑hour shifts. Call required.

Per Diem.

$83.04 to $111.05 per hour based on years of applicable experience.

Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $5.50
Hourly Night Shift Differential: $8.00
