Full Time Day Shift - Tri Health Bethesda North Hospital - $5k Sign-On Bonus!

Work Schedule:
Full Time Days – 72‑80 hours bi‑weekly;
Call every 4th weekend (Saturday or Sunday);
Two holiday shifts per year;
Six‑week scheduling period with 3‑4 nights of call.
The high‑volume Operating Room at Tri Health Bethesda North boasts 20 state‑of‑the‑art OR suites (17 general, 2 hybrid, 1 cystoscopy) and averages 35‑40 cases per day across specialties such as urology, gynecology, vascular, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, eye surgery, and robotic procedures. This position offers exposure to exceptional clinical variety and continuous growth, while advanced certifications (CNOR, ACLS) are fully covered.

Job Requirements- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Required)
- New hires must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire (Required)
- Minimum of 1‑2 years of relevant OR/Surgery RN experience (Strongly preferred)
- Registered Nurse licensure (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit or department
- Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biology, physics, behavior, social science, and nursing science to meet complex healthcare needs across all life stages
- Perform initial and ongoing patient/family assessments and document per guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs and expected outcomes.
- Provide safe, ethical, patient‑centered care while supporting dignity, diversity, and autonomy.
- Prioritize care based on patient condition and unit needs.
- Safely administer medications and treatments; perform technical skills per policy.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, initiating appropriate interventions.
- Evaluate patient responses to care and revise plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Supervise delegated tasks and ensure quality care delivery.
- Participate in organizational activities such as committees, staff meetings, and unit initiatives.
- Support student learning and staff development; serve in leadership roles as needed.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing education and self‑assessment.
- Build collaborative, collegial relationships across the healthcare team.
