Desk Clerk – Quartz Mountain State Park Lodge

Department: 566 DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM AND RECREATION

Job Type: Full time, Regular

Compensation:
Starting $15.00/hr; after one-year trial $15.45/hr.

Basic Purpose Desk Clerks are public‑facing customer service representatives in the park’s front office, lodge, or golf pro shop. They provide customers with requested information or assistance concerning services or direct requests to those who can provide the service. Responsibilities may include operating telephone or communication equipment; issuing equipment, supplies, or other materials; processing applications for licenses or permits; making room, cabin, or campsite reservations;

or serving as a cashier.

Job Duties
  • Answer phones, take messages, and provide information about location facilities.
  • Receive walk‑in and phone‑in reservation requests.
  • Check guests into reservations and validate parking.
  • Post charges to guest accounts, including necessary corrections and transfers.
  • Collect charges, process credit card vouchers, and close guest accounts.
  • Check in/out recreation equipment, golf carts, etc. to guests.
  • Assist with gift shop sales and restocking merchandise.
  • Prepare various reports under general direction.
  • Prepare correspondence, monthly reports, and other documents using office equipment and software.
  • Perform general housekeeping in public areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations and agency needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Two (2) years of experience in sales, public contact work, handling and processing mail, or general office clerical work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
  • Scheduled hours require flexibility, including holidays, weekends, or events, based on agency needs.
  • Some locations may require possession of a valid Driver’s License.
