Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Morris, Illinois. The position offers weekly pay, benefits and a career you can feel good about.

Pay: $21.75 per hour. First Shift Wednesday - Saturday 5:30 am - 4:00 pm.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid forklift operator's license
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Team player able to work within a diverse environment
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Highly thorough and dependable
• Punctual with good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs

• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Flexible schedule, available for various shifts
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up

• Perform warehousing functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Accurately pick, pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load or unload trucks
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork: picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production
• Perform other duties as assigned
