Overview The Project Engineer/Project Manager will have the opportunity to support both local and national key projects, will work collaboratively with other engineers on projects with the State DOTs, regional and local agencies and will take on the following responsibilities: Responsibilities * Manage bridge design projects from inception to completion, acting as the lead liaison with the client * Perform bridge analysis and design computations * Plan and develop design proposals for all types of bridges * Build upon the practice's client portfolio through business development efforts * Prepare contract bid documents including final plans, specifications and cost estimates for structural projects * Visit project sites to perform bridge evaluations, verify existing conditions during design, and provide construction support engineering * Coordinate with other disciplines within the transportation department including but not limited to survey, roadway, traffic, drainage, environmental and planning Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following: * BS in Civil Engineering, preferably MS * PE license is required * 15-25 years of experience in structural bridge engineering. * Must have experience in designing all components of a typical bridge. * Experience working on proposals and report writing. * Experience in development of construction plans, cost estimates, bid documents, design calculations, and quantity takeoffs for transportation projects * Experience working with the NJDOT, Turnpike, PANYNJ * Good communication skills and ability to work as a team member EEO/AA/M/F/Vet/Disability Employer
