Sets up, adjusts, and checks programming (on CNC models) and operates electric tube benders to perform a complex series of bending operations. Works to close tolerances and specifications requiring a high degree of skill, broad knowledge of bending techniques, and familiarity with bender operational procedures. Morton also pays a 15% shift premium.

• Program all machine axis based on X, Y, Z, or Y, B, C data.
• Program, coordinate, or operate any support equipment associated with the primary machine.
• Diagnose and adjust needed changes using romer, layout, gauge, assembly fixture, or any other required measuring method.
• Using documents listed above, determine what machine is to be utilized, how parts are to be run, confirm part number, quantity to be produced, and confirm that the engineering change number corresponds with the work order, layout, and print.
• Move materials as required, manually or mechanically.
• Select and secure proper bend tooling, holding clamp, die block, and/or pressure die to machine, adjust to proper placement and pressures, set mandrel and wiper die, and, if applicable, select recorded computer program.
• Position and clamp end stops on machine to set the specified location of bend.
• Insert or screw plug stops into guide wheel to set the specified degree of bend (manual machine).
• Lubricate workpiece with oil.
• Lock holding clamp and guide clamp onto workpiece.
• Use hand powered bending machine on appropriate size material.
• Mechanically or manually bend tube or pipe around bend tooling.
• Flare tube ends if required.
• All other duties as assigned.
