- ** Overview*
* TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineers analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions, and install quality control systems, develop, and document analytical methods for establishing the reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment.

They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, products, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action, and customer communication.

This position may involve working with technical data, technology, software/source code, hardware, or other items (collectively "items) subject to U.S. and non-U.S. export control laws and regulations.  Under these regulations, it may be necessary for TE to verify a candidate's national origin and/or citizenship status to determine whether a U.S. or other government export license is required prior to releasing its technologies to the candidate.  

If TE determines that TE will require a license or will be prohibited by applicable laws from providing the candidate with items necessary for the performance of this position, then TE expressly reserves the right to either a) make an offer of employment contingent upon TE receiving required export licenses from the appropriate government agency, b) consider the candidate for a different position that is not subject to such restrictions, on whatever terms and conditions TE shall establish in its sole discretion, or c) decline to move forward with the candidate's application.

** Job Requirements*
* + Provide root cause analysis and corrective action communications to our customers during quality issues within our target time frames

+ Utilize formal problem solving techniques to resolve product and process related issues, leading cross functional teams

+ Lead Cross functional Notice of Escape teams, to ensure containment, root cause analysis, corrective action and communication to customers.

+ Evaluate customer requirements during order processing, driving implementation of new customer specific requirements and negotiate requirements not in the best interest of TE Connectivity

+ Designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality data

+ Review and approval of First Article reports

+ Work cross functionally to disposition nonconforming product found at incoming, in process or returned from customers and approve any deviations required.

** What your background should look like*
* + Bachelor's Degree required in a related field to Engineering, Quality or Reliability Engineering. 10+ years of experience in the industry

+ Up to 10% travel may be required including international travel

+ Excellent presentation skills in addition to written and verbal communication skills required
