Overview
The Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, population 56,852 is located along Metra’s Union Pacific Northwest Line, 23 miles from downtown Chicago and five miles north of O’Hare International Airport. The Village is seeking qualified individuals for the full-time position of Human Resources (HR) Assistant in the Human Resources Division of the Village Manager’s Office.
Responsibilities- The HR Assistant provides administrative support in a variety of human resources activities including but not limited to filing, data entry, invoice processing, general HR correspondence, and related duties.
- Minimum of two (2) years of general recruiting, payroll, or human resources experience.
- Proficiency in maintaining sensitive data in HR/Payroll or ERP systems (Tyler New World and/or Munis preferred).
- Strong verbal and writing skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent customer service skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR certification is a plus.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and training will be considered.
This position is FLSA non-exempt. Starting salary range is $68,395 – $82,074 when annualized, depending on qualifications.
