Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience programming in C++.
- 5 years of experience building and developing large‑scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Experience with production systems and storage systems.
- Experience with distributed processing.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field (preferred).
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction (preferred).
- Experience working with streaming products in Flume
C++ (preferred). - Experience with large‑scale data processing.
- Experience with Bigtable, Colossus, Spanner, or Pubsub (preferred).
- Act as a Tech Lead Manager (TLM) for a sub‑team of approximately 6 software engineers, managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Shape the long‑term technical goal and architectural strategy for our core data processing stack, with flexibility to drive both infrastructure and product‑focused initiatives.
- Partner closely with cross‑functional teams—including Product Management, Program Management, and Privacy working groups—to translate complex requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
- Design, develop, and evolve our high‑scale, foundational data processing infrastructure to support next‑generation features.
- Own outcomes and decision making, solve ambiguous problems, and influence stakeholders with deep domain expertise.
Individual pay determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US salary range: $207,000 - $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits. Learn more about benefits at Google.
