The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect team partners with customers to design and build some of the most scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Solutions Architects collaborate with AWS Sales, product, and other AWS teams to address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

As a trusted customer advocate, Solutions Architects help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud‑based solutions, and provide advice on strategies for migrating existing workloads to the cloud. You’ll help drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of enterprise customers through your passion for educating, training, designing and building cloud solutions.
You will have the opportunity to shape and execute a strategy to build deep adoption and broad use of AWS within your enterprise customers, mobilizing resources within AWS and working with our extensive partner network.
Travel is expected to be 15‑20%.
Strong communication skills are essential; you will spend most of your day interacting with customers via email, phone, video, and in‑person meetings, adapting tone and technical depth to audiences ranging from developers to CxOs.

• Own the technical relationship with customers, providing technical advocacy as they build and enhance their products on AWS
• Participate in deep architectural and design discussions with customers to create world‑class solutions built on AWS
• Work with customers to understand their business needs and provide prescriptive guidance on how to leverage AWS technologies
• Formulate and execute a strategy to drive adoption of AWS services within the customer's platform
• Author and contribute to technical publications such as whitepapers and proof of concepts that highlight AWS
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals at the customer to enable them to be cloud advocates
• Capture and share best‑practice knowledge among the AWS Solutions Architect community
• Drive successful outcomes for both AWS and customers through technical enablement
