The Opportunity:

Build the Foundation

We are exclusively representing a Global High-Frequency Trading (HFT) firm—a market leader established in 1987 with over 3,000 employees across 14 global offices. Known for a culture rooted in game theory and decision science, they are the "smartest guys in the room" who value rigorous logic over hierarchy.

They are now expanding their footprint in Mumbai and are looking for their first-ever Quality Assurance Engineer to join the region.

This is not a "maintenance" role.

As the first QA hire on the ground, you will hold a unique position. You will operate independently to own the quality assurance for the growing Indian Options business, while collaborating closely with global engineering teams in Sydney.

What You Will Own:

- The Gatekeeper of Quality:
You will be responsible for the reliability and compliance of mission-critical Options trading systems on Indian exchanges. You are the last line of defense before a trade hits the market.
- Exchange Connectivity & Compliance:
You will lead and support Exchange Certifications (NSE/BSE) for Indian derivatives markets. You will be the primary technical contact for India exchanges.
- Complex Functional Validation:
This role prioritizes deep, investigative testing over simple automation scripting. You will design and execute rigorous functional, integration, and regression tests for OMS (Order Management Systems), market data feeds, and risk management workflows.

Collaboration:

You will partner with Traders and Developers (locally and in Sydney) to clarify complex requirements. Your ability to "speak trader" is just as important as your ability to test software.

The “Core” of the Role (Why this matters):

- Autonomy:
Unlike large banks where you are a cog in a wheel, here you are the QA function for India. You will define how testing is done for this region.
- Impact:
You are testing real-time, low-latency trading applications where precision is non-negotiable.

Who We Are Looking For:

- The

Experience:

5-10 years of QA experience, ideally within Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Trading.
- The Domain Knowledge:
You must understand the lifecycle of a trade.

Experience with Indian Exchange rules, Algo certifications, and RMS systems is highly "nice to have".
- The Mindset:
This is largely a functional testing role. We need a detective, not just a coder. You enjoy digging into complex trading scenarios to find edge-case failures that automated scripts might miss.
- The Voice:
Excellent communication is mandatory. You need to be confident enough to push back on developers or traders if a system isn't ready for production.
