We are seeking a Licensed Civil Design Engineer (PE) to join an in-house team with integrated Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Land Planning, Transportation Engineering, and Landscape Architecture capabilities. Engineers here have direct access to survey, planning, CAD, and landscape resources on every project — no outsourcing, no bottlenecks.
The RoleOwn the technical design and project management of residential subdivisions, multi-family, and commercial/industrial sites — from concept through construction administration. Hands‑on, client‑facing, with clear ownership.
Primary Responsibilities- Drainage (hydrology and hydraulics), detention ponds, and storm sewer calculations
- Water system and sanitary sewer system design
- Concept plans and civil layout for subdivisions, multi-family, and commercial/industrial projects
- Infrastructure design: storm sewer, roadways, water, and sanitary sewer
- Stormwater management, LID, SWPPP, and erosion/sediment control plans
- Plan production alongside in‑house CAD technicians
- Manage municipal and governmental approval processes
- Construction administration: shop drawings, submittals, RFIs
- Represent projects at Planning Commission and City Council meetings
- Draft cost proposals and support business development
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license — Tennessee, or ability to obtain TN reciprocity within 60–90 days
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of civil/site engineering experience in land development, subdivision design, or municipal infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of stormwater, SWPPP, LID, and erosion control
- Civil 3D / AutoCAD proficiency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client and governmental interaction
- Salary: $130,000 – $150,000/year (commensurate with experience and PE tenure)
