Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 6-month contractual assignment. The position requires full-time coverage, with approximately 40 hours scheduled per week across various shifts. Candidates must be flexible to work different shift lengths, including 8s, 10s, and 12s, with additional coverage for 24-hour plus 16-hour shifts weekly. This is a full-time locum position, with a schedule provided in six-week blocks.

Call coverage is required, including one weekend call shift per month and two weeknight call shifts per month. The candidate must work during the Christmas holiday. The work environment includes operating rooms with diverse case types such as GYN, general surgery, ortho, spine, crani, plastics, lungs, healthy pediatrics, eye, GI, structural hearts, electrophysiology (EP), endoscopy, and interventional radiology. CRNAs will perform supervision-based anesthesia, spinal blocks, and occasionally arterial lines but will not perform regional anesthesia, epidurals, or central lines.

The patient population is primarily over 12 years old (90%+), with a mix of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The facility utilizes the EPIC EMR system and has approximately 378 beds.

Requirements:

  • Board Certified (BC) in Nurse Anesthesia
  • Open to licensing candidates; DEA and CSR are required
  • Minimum of 1-year experience preferred; 6 months considered
  • Must be comfortable with Level II trauma cases
  • Supervision model allows a maximum ratio of 4:1
  • Willing to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends
  • Must work at least during Christmas holiday
