Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician at Ballenas Housing Society
Join Ballenas Housing Society as a Maintenance Technician responsible for crucial building and property upkeep. This role focuses on repairs, preventative maintenance, and ensuring safe living environments.

As a vital part of the maintenance team, you'll report to the Maintenance Operations Manager. With at least three years of experience, your skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and landscaping will be essential. You'll often work independently, respond to emergency calls, and maintain cooperative relations with staff and tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on properties

• Troubleshoot various building maintenance issues

• Maintain shared workshop and stock necessary materials

• Ensure safe access by clearing sidewalks and entryways

• Follow safety regulations and report any incidents

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of complex maintenance experience

• WHMIS Certificate and First Aid certification preferred

• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license

• Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check required
