As a Senior Software Engineer on the Meta Profile team, you will own the architecture and evolution of the services and pipelines that act as the source of truth for job and job seeker profiles across Indeed. You’ll manage the design of multi‑stage natural‑language generation and factual synthesis pipelines, ensuring they are observable, resilient, and auditable while meeting Responsible AI, privacy, and compliance requirements ’ll collaborate closely with Matching, Feature Store Platform, and product leaders to define how profile signals are represented, evaluated, and integrated into ranking and retrieval, using data to guide trade‑offs between cost, latency, and match quality.

You’ll set technical direction for the team, drive cross‑org initiatives to align profile semantics and usage, and mentor other engineers in building and operating production data and AI systems that reliably improve outcomes for both job seekers and employers.

• Design, implement, and maintain features and services that support core business workflows.
• Contribute to the evolution of existing systems while helping prototype and deliver new capabilities.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to maintain quality, reliability, and clarity.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data partners to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Identify performance and scalability improvements and enhance existing code accordingly.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to teammates through collaboration and feedback.
• Communicate technical ideas clearly and effectively within the team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or PhD without experience.
• Experience building or contributing to large‑scale or distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and core computer science fundamentals.
• A demonstrated sense of ownership and accountability for delivered work.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and enjoyment of solving complex technical problems.

• Tier 1 – United States of America: $118,000 – 178,000 USD per year
• Tier 2 – United States of America: $131,000 – 197,000 USD per year
• Tier 3 – United States of America: $145,000 – 217,000 USD per year
• Tier 5 – United States of America: $166,000 – 248,000 USD per year

The salary range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum compensation for the role. Offers are typically made between the range minimum and the range midpoint. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related skills, experience, and expertise, as evaluated during the interview process. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees.
