Floor Care/Porter

Full‑time, 32 hours a week (no weekends). 7‑3 pm Mon, Tue, Wed, and Fri.

What You’ll Do:

As a Housekeeper, the clean, healing environment you create will improve the comfort and well‑being of our residents, guests and team. This entry‑level position offers a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn more about long‑term care and its many career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas and resident rooms.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
  • Dispose of trash and waste.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from residents and staff.
  • Operate cleaning equipment such as buffing machines, vacuums, etc.

What You’ll Bring :

Qualifications of a Housekeeper include:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of cleaning protocols, infection control, fire prevention and safety measures in long‑term care are highly valued but not required; training will be provided.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
