Position: Graduate Assistant (Language & Literature)
Location: Wayne

Position Overview

Wayne State College is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the Language & Literature department. This appointment requires a total of 800 hours over the academic year, typically 25 hours per week during the academic year. The position offers a stipend of $12,300 for the 2026‑2027 academic year and a tuition waiver covering up to 18 credit hours per year, including the immediate summer session.

The appointment may be renewed after the first year.

Responsibilities
  • Make satisfactory progress in the graduate degree program, maintaining a GPA greater than 3.0.
  • Teach undergraduate courses within the School of Arts and Humanities.
  • Model a high level of character, self‑discipline, and integrity.
Required Qualifications
  • Admission to Wayne State College graduate program of study.
  • GPA greater than 3.0.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant experience or coursework in language and literature.
