Age Group Leads bring warmth, patience, and understanding to the classroom everyday, encouraging children to learn and grow. They inspire children to be lifelong learners using our nationally recognized curriculum that promotes social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development. They are committed to making their center successful and know that creating meaningful relationships with children, families, and team plays a crucial role in that success.

• Plan and implement Kinder Care's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child. Mentor and ensure age group teachers feel confident in implementing curriculum consistently.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn and model this behavior for all classroom teachers within your age group.
• Partner and connect with parents, encouraging age group teachers to develop similar connections.
• Support your center's success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement and serve as a leader in your age group to help classroom teachers support this success as well.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
• Engage and participate in continuous professional development and growth opportunities.

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
• Strong leadership skills and the desire and ability to mentor and support teachers within your age group. Experience leading in a classroom is preferred.
• Meet and maintain the state specific requirement of a Lead Teacher.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
• Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.

Range of pay $22.25 - $26.70 hourly. In the state of Minnesota, we currently provide an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked in addition to the range of pay listed. This premium is funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.
