PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The role of the Product Development Manager is responsible for all phases of the product development process; from initial concept and system planning through sample delivery, design studio management, and production sign-off.
What You’ll Do:
- Integrate seamlessly into the product team as the key ‘Product Development Manager’ component.
- Manage the end-to-end development process in Centric PLM and Range Tracker systems.
- Work directly with the Design Team to create, manage, and update Product Specs/BOMs for all samples.
- Be the central point of contact between factories and business unit for all product related queries.
- Manage Pricing, Delivery Dates, Product Details and Lineage throughout the Season with necessary adjustments at milestone reviews.
- Partner with Off‑shore PD, Development Engineers, and Product Data Teams to manage the Buy‑Readiness Process ensuring all products are ready for PO.
- Order, track and manage delivery of all samples for internal use, including Prototype, Milestone, and Sales specific samples.
- Own the Product Confirmation process and sign off final samples for Production. Approve/Reject shoe, material, and construction against standards and specifications.
- Work across Line Management, Design, Merchandising and Sales teams as the go‑to product knowledge expert.
- Participate in milestone meetings and merchandising sessions to summarize necessary actions.
- Be involved in daily product team meetings and have an opinion on product direction, color, and material.
- Work on a global team with our counterparts in the UK that make up balance of the Mens Product Team.
- Maintain the Product Studio and manage the Sample flow.
- Provide additional ad hoc support to the business unit in a fast‑paced product environment.
What You’ll Bring:
- Knowledge of working and managing a product development process.
- Experience using Centric PLM system preferred, or experience with other PLM systems.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute tasks in a fast‑paced environment in order to meet changing demands and timelines.
- Experience working with offshore Development teams.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally in a Team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detailed knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Office®, E Copy, and Range Tracker.
- Proactive and self‑motivated.
- Keen attention to detail.

Actual compensation within a pay range will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, performance, Clarks’ business needs, internal equity and any statutory obligations.
