Job Description

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of Student Worker - Sustainability Council Ambassador. The student worker will will support the work of the Sustainability Council (SC) to educate and foster sustainability on our campus and in the community. This support includes developing of promotional activities, liaising with campus organizations and organizing SC meetings. Core Responsibilities:

* As a Sustainability Council member, promote the Sustainability Council and recruit new members, especially student members, to make sure all stakeholders on campus are represented.

* Interact with Faculty & Staff via social media and act as SC liaison with Nevada State Student Alliance, Nevada State Alliance for Science club, Student Life Office, and in classes and events to enhance campus engagement in sustainability topics.

* Lead student sustainability events that educate and encourage awareness and action to preserve the campus environment.

* Responsible for interacting with The Village Student Housing staff and residents to recommend environmentally-friendly practices and procedures, especially water and energy conservation.
