AboutThe Role
Innovar Group is seeking experienced MEP Managers to support the delivery of large-scale, mission-critical construction projects. This role is ideal for a hands‑on construction leader with strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and critical infrastructure systems within data centers or other high‑tech environments.
The MEP Manager will play a key role in driving field execution, coordinating trade activity, resolving issues, and ensuring complex building systems are installed safely, correctly, and on schedule. We are looking for leaders who can step into a fast‑moving environment, take ownership of scope, and provide strong direction across multiple teams and trades.
Key Responsibilities- Lead field execution and coordination of MEP construction activities from early construction phases through turnover.
- Oversee installation and coordination of complex building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, critical power, structured cabling, telecom, and cooling systems.
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to project schedule.
- Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams to support successful project delivery.
- Review field progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution to minimize schedule impacts.
- Ensure installation activities align with design intent, project requirements, operational needs, and industry best practices.
- Support commissioning readiness by ensuring systems are properly installed, documented, and prepared for testing.
- Lead field meetings, communicate priorities, and maintain accountability across trades.
- Monitor quality, safety, documentation, and coordination across assigned scopes of work.
- Provide clear updates to project leadership regarding progress, risks, constraints, and next steps.
- Strong experience managing MEP construction activities in data center, mission‑critical, high‑tech, or complex industrial environments.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in high‑availability facilities.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades in a fast‑paced construction environment.
- Knowledge of critical infrastructure systems such as electrical distribution, busway, fiber, telecom, structured cabling, and cooling systems.
- Ability to lead contractors and field teams while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with construction, engineering, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership, drive accountability, and lead in a high‑stakes project environment.
- Experience with liquid cooling or advanced cooling systems.
- Background supporting semiconductor, microchip, advanced manufacturing, or other high‑tech facilities.
- Experience working in environments where uptime, reliability, precision, and system performance are critical.
- Prior experience supporting commissioning readiness or turnover activities.
