Overview

DeVivo Bus Sales & Service has an opening for a full-time Heavy Duty Diagnostics Technician at our dealership located in New Britain, CT. Diagnostic technicians carry out troubleshooting and triage for electrical and drivetrain issues on buses, trucks and automobiles. We need someone who can identify the issues efficiently, with repairs then being performed by other technicians. We provide continuous training to remain current in this ever-changing, high-tech industry with a state-of-the-art in-house training department and OEM factory training.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and triage electrical and drivetrain issues on buses, trucks, and automobiles.
  • Identify issues efficiently; oversee repairs performed by other technicians.
  • Collaborate with the in-house training department and OEM factory trainers to stay current with technology.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five years’ experience in automotive, truck, and/or bus repair. Skills to diagnose trucks, buses, and general on-highway vehicles.
  • Cummins certification is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus.
  • Hold, or be willing to work toward, ASE certifications.
  • Adequate verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Physical strength and conditioning to safely perform all required tasks.
