Location: New York
We're seeking an experienced architect interested and available to join our team for detailed and high end residential projects. While this position is temporary there is opportunity for the position to continue on a full time basis.
DBA is a small, busy practice based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn seeking an in-office, experienced, and uniquely qualified intermediate architect/ project manager, designer, and teammate.
We're a collaborative studio with a longtime focus on work with creative clientele in the art and design world. Current work includes detail intensive new construction and renovation of commercial and high end residential projects as well as product, furniture, lighting and interior design.
Our candidate should have knowledge of NYC building department processes, experience managing client communications and design consultant work, and have an understanding of standard AIA contract management.
Organization, humor and good communication skills are important to us. The position is especially well suited for those interested in fine arts and design. It's also for those who appreciate craft and are into developing materials and details. We collectively enjoy what we do, and appreciate that a work/ life balance is essential.
Specific qualifications- Hands-on experience in the field of high end residential work
- Ability to detail new construction and custom fabrications
- Experience managing multiple small/medium projects, coordinating all aspectsto bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion
- Knowledge of Vectorworks is a strong plus
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture degree and 5 years of professional project management experience
- Licensure a plus, but not required
